Can hadoop client / edge nodes be used as kubernetes workers? How? Would like to know for the purpose of running YARN- and HDFS-dependent applications in a containerized (docker) and managed (thus, kubernetes) way.

Had asked a similar question on SO, but suspect that there may be additional concerns (eg. given that a kubernetes pod could move around between hadoop/worker nodes and so could not have a persistent volume mounted to it, etc).
